If someone is hurling abuse at you, consider if you are accusing yourself of something in waking life or if you have made someone angry.
If fury is expressed vocally in your dream, consider what is being said as it may contain a clue to your agitation.
If you use or see weapons in dreams, these are clear symbols of aggression and heated emotions. The type of weapon featuring in your dream should help you understand what it represents in your waking life.
If you know the person who is attacking you, then your dream may reflect genuine hostility between the two of you.
If you do not know the person, the dream may represent your lack of control over a situation in your waking life or feelings of insecurity.
Consider also if this person could have been your shadow. Ask yourself what it is about this person that you dislike. Because your unconscious sometimes projects characteristics or qualities that you dislike in yourself onto others, in your dreams your dreaming mind may be sending you a message that you should acknowledge this hidden aspect of yourself and come to terms with it.
If you are threatened or make a threat in your dream, were you accusing yourself of something? Have you made mistakes or been inconsiderate lately? Take a note of your attitude in the dream as it could tell you a lot about your attitude towards being intimidated in real life. Do you cringe in fear or stand up for yourself? If a physical fight or dispute features in your dream, this may be between different aspects of your character or two different arguments that you need to balance.
If there is a clear winner in your dream, you need to think about what message your dreaming mind is sending you about the correct course of action to take.
If explosions feature in your dreams, they may be symbols of your feelings of anger and hostility in waking life. On the other hand, the image may also be suggesting that you are bottling up your action and now is the time to express yourself before you lose control in your waking life.
If you were lighting a fuse that triggered an explosion or taking part in a demolition in your dream, you may want to destroy an aspect of your life. This may refer to a situation you are finding difficult to resolve or negative aspects of your character that you would like to replace with positive qualities. Images of a bursting dam, an erupting volcano or an avalanche of snow or rocks may also warn of emotional explosions overwhelming your self-control; they are all a sign that you should express how you feel. More positively, such dreams may point to a release of creative energy. Hidden anger towards someone can also be revealed by sudden discharges of gas or flames from a container—a bottle, box or container in dreams often represent feelings that are bottled up. Other hatefilled images such as acid thrown in someone’s face, a decapitated loved one or throwing rotten eggs at someone can reveal that you urgently need to deal with your pent-up rage.

It is worthwhile considering who or what the dream suggests you feel hostile towards. In general the most powerful hostile feelings are towards parents, having been generated in infancy. These need to be met if one is to become an adequate sexual person in relation to an adult of the opposite sex and social authority. Unconscious hostility causes one to remain at a mystic or idealistic level of relationship with the opposite sex. causing difficulty in meeting the real individual. Meeting anger, aggression and hostility does not mean suppressing it or expressing it socially. Many of us have become, in the words of WV. Caldwell, the author of LSD Psychotherapy, ‘hostility cripples’. As human animals, anger and aggression are natural, but growing in a society which, although it practices the most terrible aggression at a national level, suppresses individual aggression, it is difficult for us to lead these urges towards maturity. Maturity in love is often talked about, but not maturity in hate. It helps if we can recognise whether we are repressing aggressions or hostility in our dreams.
If anger is felt but not expressed in a dream, then use the technique explained in dream processing, in which you carry the dream forward and express in imagination the emotions held back. This should begin the process of moTe expressive anger in one’s dreams, allowing the maturing of the aggression to begin.

If however, someone is being hostile towards us, it very often means that we need to be aware that we are not acting appropriately, that others may feci we are putting them in danger.
2- Hostility is one of those emotions that can be worked through in a dream.
If we can identify what is making us feel hostile in a dream, then we can usually draw a parallel in our waking lives and deal with whatever the problem is.
If we can identify the feeling as being appropriate in a particular situation, then we can deal with the feeling.
3- Spiritual opposition or rather opposition to our spiritual beliefs can generate a tremendous amount of hostility. We need to be aware that others may not necessarily agree with our spiritual beliefs. [3]

If, however, someone is being hostile towards us, it very often means that we need to be aware that we are not acting appropriately, that others may feel we are putting them in danger. [4]
It is simply safe to express it in a dream, whereas we may not dare do this in waking life. Hostility is one of those emotions that can be worked through within a dream itself. [5]
