Personal Focus: Because a fountain is a water fixture, it is important to work with the symbolic meaning of water when working with a fountain. This is so even if the fountain was devoid of water in your dream (See also: Water).
At its core, water represents the emotions. How the water behaves gives color and shading to the meaning you discover. A fountain manages and manipulates the water that flows through it. In this way, the fountain represents the ability to manage the emotions. Since many fountains inspire a sense of tranquility, they embody this ability to take an emotional experience and process it in such a way that keeps the integrity of the water and allows it to move with grace and ease. • If you have a dream or vision of drinking from a clean fountain, it is a picture that wherever you are receiving your ministry from at the moment is where God wants you to be. You are receiving life and good teaching.
Negative: On the other side though, if the water is dirty, then the Lord is warning you that the teaching and impartation you are receiving is contaminated.
• If the fountain is dirty or bitter, it is a picture that there is something wrong in your life. Your spirit is contaminated with bitterness, and bad teaching and spiritual impartations.
• If you tend to travel around just receiving from anyone, it is quite possible that you have received a curse along the way.
• If you still hold bitterness in your heart towards anyone, this is contaminating your spirit! Not only is it holding you back from entering into an intimate relationship with the Lord, but it will contaminate others you try to minister to.
• Dreaming or seeing a vision of a dirty foundation is a warning to you. You need to deal with the things that are contaminating your spirit.

If the fountain is dry, however, it predicts problems. [3]
The larger the fountain, the more emotions are being dealt with. Something in public indicates the need or desire to control your emotional expression as you are out in the world.
A small water fixture that you might find in a home has the same meaning, only on a smaller scale. One that is broken in some way indicates a need to give some attention to how well you are expressing your feelings in a way that can be easily received by others. If one is told that such a fountain is a blessed one in the dream, it means the opposite, and should one wash himself with its water or drink from it in a dream, it means depression and trouble.

If no water is coming from the fountainhead in the dream, then it represents a poor woman or a barren woman.
