Adapting to difficult circumstances: Ancient people wore masks to help them commune with specific energies. Today, we don figurative masks and temporary per-sonas when faced with new, unfamiliar, or demanding situations. This results in stressing particular characteristics that help us cope in these new settings.
The element of surprise and mystery, like at a costumed dance where you wonder what’s behind the mask.
Emotions or ideas that abide in your subconscious may manifest through a dream mask’s color, shape, or depiction.
For example, a red mask that looks angry can reveal your own outrage that was either subdued or silenced.

For a young woman to dream that she wears a mask, foretells she will endeavor to impose upon some friendly person.
If she unmasks, or sees others doing so, she will fail to gain the admiration sought for. She should demean herself modestly after this dream. [4]

If someone you know is wearing the mask, that person is keeping something from you.
If the wearer of the mask is a stranger, and male, then there is intellectual knowledge out there that you don’t have but should be aware of.
If the stranger is female, you’re not in touch with your emotions and should be. [9]
The roles that we play in life such as parent, student, or worker. On the other hand, masks can be a symbol of pretentiousness.
If you are wearing a mask, look inside and check if you are being sincere in your presentations, or if you are hiding something and pretending to be something you are not.
If other people are wearing masks, it suggests that you may be concerned about their genuineness [10]
If somebody else is wearing the mask, the dreamer becomes the victim of the deception or becomes suspicious of the wearer of the mask.
To see many people with masks indicates envious friends or associates. [11]
